This is about as random as it gets: when I was eight years old, David Prowse (the man “inside” the Darth Vader suit) came to Iowa on a Star Wars promotional junket. They were also looking for two kids to don original Jawa costumes.

Through astronomical luck, I was chosen not only to wear one of the Jawa costumes from the original trilogy, but also to pose for photographs with the Dark Lord himself.

Definitely the pinnacle of my childhood.
